Pittsford’s Civil War Soldiers

Pittsford is the eternal resting place of more than 85 Civil War soldiers. Hear prisoner of war George Wiltsie's story in his own words. Discover Pittsford's highest ranking Civil War soldier Major Harvey E. Light. Learn about a Confederate soldier buried in Pittsford.
Join Town & Village Historian Vicki Masters Profitt as she shares their stories of hardships and triumphs in commemoration of the 160th anniversary of the end of the Civil War.


First Saturdays at the Little House
The Little House, located at 18 Monroe Avenue next to the fire station, is open the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. This 200+ year old building serves as Historic Pittsford’s office, has a resource room for historic research, and regularly changing exhibits of interest to all ages.
